BASF declares Force Majeure of MDI production in Chongqing
Chongqing/Shanghai, China – December 12, 2017 – BASF declares force majeure for the production of MDI in Chongqing due to a supply shortage of natural gas at our syngas supplier. The supplier has not yet provided a timeline for restart of the syngas. We have been communicating with our customers proactively and we shall inform them of the MDI plant restart as soon as syngas supply resumes.
